Excellent area and scenery.Fun training ride. Many plants along the path are identified and the trail is very easy to follow. Rio Salado Pathway spans 10.5 mi. In the south, the trail winds through Papago Park, a wonder with stunning desert scenery, flora and fauna. The mountain bike trails in Papago Park are great for honing your skills or just having fun with your friends.

An event open to Mountain bikers, trail runners and walkers through the most spectacularly varied scenery of any Great Walk. It is also home to several attractions and museums.Want to experience the real Arizona? Although it is still one of the the shorter trails in town. This trail provides a nice walk through the center of a Sonoran Desert park. Papago Park. It's usually the place I bring beginners to let them find their sea legs.

Easy trail with my little girl/10 year oldTag a trail, bike, and/or a category.The Papago Trail area is a great area for the beginner and intermediate rider. The trail ascends rapidly over a short distance.


As the trail heads north into Scottsdale, the surroundings become more residential. Also a good beginner trail to get people introduced to mountain biking. It’s a good start. It starts with a smooth climb and then the second half is mostly down hill. There are a few jumps that have ride-arounds.This is an easy network and immpossible to get completely lost. The trail to the chamber consists of steps that rise 200 feet in just a short 1/10 of a mile. 42 trails with 38 photos I will definitely be back. The trails that interlace the area are generally easy treks.
