Broadcom Foundation and Society for Science & the Public present the 30 middle school finalists who competed in the seventh annual Broadcom MASTERS® competition. The Broadcom MASTERS winners were among 30 finalists -- 18 girls and 12 boys.
Winners were selected by a panel of distinguished scientists, engineers and educators.

“She, along with the entire Class of 2019, are already leaders in their fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. On October 6, Broadcom Foundation and Society for Science & the Public announced the top winners of the fifth annual Broadcom MASTERS national STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) competition for sixth, seventh and eighth graders.Broadcom Foundation and SSP also announced first and second place winners in each of the STEM categories, Rising Stars, and a Team Award.
Broadcom MASTERS winners were chosen from the 30 finalists (18 girls and 12 boys) selected from 2,348 applicants in 47 states. AlphaStar students Jack Albright and Espen Slettnes were awarded among 30 finalists.
Each finalist’s school will receive $1,000 from the Broadcom MASTERS to benefit their science program.
