AMD Ryzen 5 3600X vs Ryzen 7 3700X vs Ryzen 9 3900X Performance Tests Across 10+ Games. Don't pay extra for the "X" - you will not be able to tell the difference. You'll get better increase of performance by using that money on better graphics card or ram.I suggest going for 3700x, because besydes of the downgrade (will be almost inperceptible in real game experiemce) on single and quad core. My plan is to jump to ZEN3 or possibly used 3900X / 3950X in about 3-4 years. If you're going to be doing any sort of creative content go with the 3700VGA? Is it worth the extra money? 5280 points. This also doesn't care about how much processing power your computer has.VR games on the Valve Index. This is a relatively fast process that the 3600 will have no issues performing, and any improvements from a better processor will be minimal, and for hobbyist level printing, not worth the increased initial price.0% chance it pushed it. So again the 3600 will likely be plenty. It's maybe just the 3700x that occasionally has very small single digit advantage but it's not worth paying almost double the price just for that. If you just want average gamming and get ready for next cpu price performace chip go for the 3600. Which is the better option for gaming? Picked up 16gb kit of 3200 ram from prime day for $60 but what I’m lacking is an nvme boot drive and torn on what to get.I’m starting to see a lot of posts about people having trouble running new ryzen on b350 and b450 boards. I can always get a top hat later and water cool.
3700X is a great chip but more of a prosumer model with more cores benefiting outside of gaming. 4840 points . so much insight. If you get the 3700X then the stock cooler is actually really good, for that chip. Won’t behave it until Friday so will be a weekend build/upgrade. (just curious so I can buy accordingly)If you do productivity stuff often enough to warrant some extra power and time saved then 3700x is your best buy.As most others have said, 3600 is easily the best deal right now.
Most modern games can utilize multiple cores. Right now it would be wise to buy low to medium cpus because we are like 2 or 3 years to be in front of the upcoming ddr5 gen and the next gen CPUs. The 3700X has a lower TDP heat rating of 65 TDP, the stock cooler with it is rated for around 140 TDP. Certainly not for gaming, right now. long story short im already too many parts in to turn tail on this sff build. I was just curious if VR would benefit from the extra cores at all as you have the compositor and tracking codes running in the background.
The 3600 to me is the defacto best gaming chip value you can get. You must be aware of all the differences between the two processes before selecting one of them. I am currently shopping for a new ryzen gen 2 cpu. The Stealth stock cooler can get the job done but you will benefit from spending $40 on a better cooler. Lots of people brought this to my attention a couple days ago.As far as the cooler goes, if you have solid air circulation/case fans the wraith spire is fine if you are not overclocking. The last aspect of 3D printing to consider is the 3D design, the impact of your system on this is highly dependent on the specific software you use. The Core i5-10600K is arguably the most compelling of the 10th-gen unlocked desktop parts.
